WHAT DOES THE BIBLE SAY ABOUT ZOMBIES?

There are many verses that speak about the dead rising first. The Bible actually speaks of the dead rising.

1 Thessalonians 4:16-18 (New International Version)

16For the Lord himself will come down from heaven, with a loud command, with the voice of the archangel and with the trumpet call of God, and the dead in Christ will rise first. 17After that, we who are still alive and are left will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And so we will be with the Lord forever. 18Therefore encourage each other with these words.

Mark 12:26

And as touching the dead, that they rise: have ye not read in the book of Moses, how in the bush God spake unto him, saying, I am the God of Abraham, and the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob?

Revelation 20:5

GOD'S WORD® Translation (©1995)
The rest of the dead did not live until the 1,000 years ended. This is the first time that people come back to life.

and the most interesting verse about the dead rising in the Bible is when Christ dies.

Matthew 27:45-53 Now from the sixth hour darkness fell upon all the land until the ninth hour. 46 And about the ninth hour Jesus cried out with a loud voice, saying, “ Eli, Eli, lama sabachthani ?”that is, “ My God, My God, why hast Thou forsaken Me ?” 47 And some of those who were standing there, when they heard it, began saying, “This man is calling for Elijah.” 48 And immediately one of them ran, and taking a sponge, he filled it with sour wine, and put it on a reed, and gave Him a drink. 49 But the rest of them said, “Let us see whether Elijah will come to save Him.” 50 And Jesus cried out again with a loud voice, and yielded up His spirit. 51 And behold, the veil of the temple was torn in two from top to bottom, and the earth shook; and the rocks were split, 52 and the tombs were opened; and many bodies of the saints who had fallen asleep were raised; 53 and coming out of the tombs after His resurrection they entered the holy city and appeared to many.

So you see even the Bible speaks of the dead rising. I speak to many Christians about this subject and it is one they do not like to talk about. Why? It is in plain black and white that the dead will rise in the "return of Christ". So if you are a Christian that is proof enough that there will be zombies. Call me crazy but that is even more horrific that the conservative nature of religion (christianity) and it speaks of the dead rising. Interesting yet ironic in the same sentence.

But this is just some of the many verses that explain the dead rising in the Holy Bible.

    1. I always loved this saying: "Born once, die twice; born twice, die once."
"People who died in Christ"...meaning saved by His grace through faith being washed clean from their sin through what Jesus did on the Cross for those who humbly choose to believe and now desire to turn from their sin and be re-born into a new creation with His Spirit and desire to know and follow Jesus (Romans 3:10 & 23, Romans 6:23, Romans 5:8, Romans 10:9-10, 13, Romans 8:1, and Romans 8:38-39). You are now at peace with God, made a new creation, brought into right relationship with God through Christ because just as true as it that Jesus died as a sacrifice for everyone's sin once and for all, He also raised from the dead therefore conquering death and making it possible for His true children who have been born again to live victorious and have the assurance of His promises- one of which is that death no longer has a hold on us. We who die while in Christ, clothed in His righteousness by His grace and forgiveness, will one day be given a resurrected body just like Christ was given a resurrected body when He conquered death. From glory to glory!! Our spirit does go to be with Him and then upon Christ's second coming, our bodies will be resurrected and restored as well...to be with Him in eternity in a restored state of being once and for all with no sin!!
      (2 Corinthians 5:1-15, 1 John 3:2-3, Philippians 3:20-21, Ephesians 2:8, Colossians 1:13-14, Ephesians 2:4-5, Romans 6:7-11, Galatians 2:20, 2 Corinthians 5:17, Revelations 21:4)
"Take notice (those who are saved)! I tell you a mystery. We shall not all fall asleep in death, but we shall all be changed (transformed) in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the sound of the last trumpet call. For a trumpet will sound, and the dead in Christ will be raised imperishable (free and immune from decay), and we shall be transformed. For this perishable part of us must put on the imperishable nature, and this mortal part of us, this nature that is capable of dying must put on immortality (freedom from death)."
      1 Corinthians 15:51-53

  3. Have you never heard the term "in black & white"? It means it's 'there in your friggin face, in print, WRITTEN, and in her case she's saying "IN Black and white, written in the Bible" yet Christians still dont wanna believe, if it assaults their initial arguement.

  4. This is the most ridiculous thing I've ever heard of. Although our dead will rise, it will not be in the sense of rotting corpses who wreak havoc by eating others. Rather the dead will rise to full mental and physical capacity without eating flesh. We see in the case where Jesus resurrects Lazarus that Lazarus is in full mental capacity without eating anyone, and not having so much as a rotted body smell.

  5. Paul tells the church of Thessalonia that those who accepted Christ but died before his return will see Heaven before those who are still on Earth. No one can enter the kingdom of Heaven until Judgement Day, and those who have already died will be judged first. Kinda a first dead, first serve basis. When the dead rise, it isn't talking about flesh. It's talking about the spirit. People like to take the Bible out of its context.

    1. How do you know you aren't taking it out of context. After reading the bible, then attempting to decipher it, you are putting it to context also.

  6. "O death, where is your victory? O death, where is your sting? Now sin is the sting of death, and sin exercises its power upon the soul through the abuse of the Law. But thanks be to God, Who gives us the victory making us conquerors through our Lord Jesus Christ."
    1 Corinthians 15:55-57
"For God has done what the Law could not do, its power being weakened by the flesh [the entire nature of man without the Holy Spirit]. Sending His own Son in the guise of sinful flesh and as an offering for sin, God condemned sin in the flesh [subdued, overcame, deprived it of its power over all who accept that sacrifice]..."
    Romans 8:3
    "Jesus said,
If you really love Me, you will keep (obey) My commands. And I will ask the Father, and He will give you another Comforter (Counselor, Helper, Intercessor, Advocate, Strengthener, and Standby), that He may remain with you forever—
The Spirit of Truth (Holy Spirit), Whom the world cannot receive, because it does not see Him or know and recognize Him. But you know and recognize Him, for He lives with you constantly and will be in you."
    John 14:15-17

  8. The Resurrection Body
35 But someone will ask, “How are the dead raised? With what kind of body will they come?” 36 How foolish! What you sow does not come to life unless it dies. 37 When you sow, you do not plant the body that will be, but just a seed, perhaps of wheat or of something else. 38 But God gives it a body as he has determined, and to each kind of seed he gives its own body. 39 Not all flesh is the same: People have one kind of flesh, animals have another, birds another and fish another. 40 There are also heavenly bodies and there are earthly bodies; but the splendor of the heavenly bodies is one kind, and the splendor of the earthly bodies is another. 41 The sun has one kind of splendor, the moon another and the stars another; and star differs from star in splendor.
Amazing! no matter how many times i read the holy bible i am always learning something new or re evaluating my previous thoughts. Peace be with you.
